Join us July 1st from 7 to 8 PM at Subtext Books to celebrate the release of Nothing Is Stationary, a book of poems by Joanne Esser.
Joanne Esser is the author of the poetry collection All We Can Do Is Name Them, (Fernwood Press, October 2024), Humming At The Dinner Table, (Finishing Line Press, 2019) and the chapbook I Have Always Wanted Lightning.
Her new book of poems, Nothing Is Stationary, will be released by Holy Cow! Press in June 2026. Recent work appears in Echolocation, I-70 Review, Great Lakes Review, Dunes Review, and Orca, among other journals. She earned an MFA from Hamline University and has been a teacher of young children for over forty years. She lives with her husband in Eagan, Minnesota.
In addition to her collection of personal essays, At the Corner of Past and Present, Pamela Carter Joern is the author of four works of fiction, published by the University of Nebraska Press: Toby's Last Resort, In Reach, The Plain Sense of Things, and The Floor of the Sky. She has published short stories and essays in various literary journals. She has also written six plays that have been produced in the Twin Cities, including a musical, Alchemyra's Art. She co-edited Re-Membering and Re-Imagining. She taught writing at the Loft Literary Center for many years. ​Pam lives in Minneapolis. She is a graduate of United Theological Seminary and holds an MFA from Hamline University.
