What happens when truth becomes the most dangerous weapon of all?

Marty’s Movement for Truth is a gripping contemporary political thriller that rips back the curtain on the machinery of disinformation amplified and spread through social media. With the relentless tension of a Hitchcock classic and the razor-sharp realism of investigative journalism, this novel plunges readers into a nation where facts are contested, narratives are manufactured, and democracy hangs by a thread.

Marty West is an unlikely hero, a retired systems analyst who prefers data to drama. But after witnessing a mass shooting at the State Capitol and the eerie silence that follows, Marty can’t ignore the contradictions. When official reports don’t add up, he launches a small podcast to seek answers. What begins as a solitary search for clarity shows him the societal value of truth and his quest to ignite a movement.

Enter Spear, a volatile genius of a hacker with her own reasons for wanting the truth exposed. Armed with explosive secrets, she and Marty uncover a shadowy web of multinational corporations and powerful social media empires that engineer outrage, amplify conspiracy theories, and monetize division.

As Marty’s audience surges, so does the backlash: threats intensify, federal investigators circle, and unseen forces conspire to silence him.

Timely, provocative, and chillingly plausible, Marty’s Movement for Truth confronts the defining crisis of our era. When lies are weaponized and truth is buried, who will stand up to defend democracy—and at what cost?

David Lloyd Levitt is a first-time author with more than four decades of technology experience. His career has given him a front-row seat to the power--and peril--of algorithms that can amplify disinformation, distort public understanding, and undermine democratic institutions. Drawing on both his technical background and passion for truth-seeking, Levitt brings a unique perspective to modern political fiction. Marty's Movement blends timely issues with the tension and psychological nuance reminiscent of a Hitchcock-style thriller. Levitt aims to entertain, illuminate, and remind readers that in an era of manufactured realities, defending the truth isn't optional--it's imperative. Democracy endures only when each of us chooses to protect it, for this generation and the next.
