Beyond concerts, festivals, and sporting events, in Downtown Saint Paul you can find a vibrant mix of bars, clubs, breweries, and late-night hangouts offering everything from live music and DJs to trivia, karaoke, dancing, and specialty nights any day of the week.
With thousands of events taking place each year, averaging at least three on any given weekday, downtown is active well into the evening – no sidewalks are rolling up at 5pm these days.

1 Something for everyone at Gambit Brewing 141 4th St E, Suite LL2 Saint Paul, MN 55101 Gambit is always a good stop for great beer and good friends. Check out their regular offerings like Retro and Board Game Night, Trivia, Vinyl Nights and Punk Nights. They also host the Funniest Person in Saint Paul contest. 2 Ethiopian Food, Jazz and Art at Erta Ale Ethiopian 308 E Prince St STE 140 Saint Paul, MN 55101 Erta Ale Ethiopian hosts a ton of special events (check their Instagram for updates!) from live music to art shows to comedy and dancing. Truly the best Ethiopian food in all of the Twin Cities (in our unbiased opinion). Located right outside CHS Field this is a great spot for pre- or post-game fun and food! Open Sun/Mon/Wed/Thur until 9pm and Fri/Sat until 1am. |

3 Edgy music and great food at the Amsterdam 6 West 6th Street Saint Paul, MN 55102 Amsterdam Bar & Hall is a staple of Downtown St Paul nightlife. For nearly 15 years we have offered the largest variety of gin in the area and a fun and safe environment to see live music of all kinds. Rock, metal, punk, pop, funk, and everything in between, this venue has a consistent rotation of the next best band in the world. 4 The Pearl Speakeasy and Private Club 410 St Peter St St Paul, MN 55102 From backlit shadow burlesque to local DJ sets, spoken word, and conversation sessions — we’re bringing back the room that was made for nights like these. The Pearl is a new speakeasy operating on Friday nights from 6pm-1am that includes nightly programming and a small-bite menu from Meritage. They have incredible food, a huge bar and bartenders that can make any drink you throw at them, and often have specials on downtown event nights.
