Located in downtown Saint Paul, the century-old Palace Theatre was originally operated as a vaudeville theatre in 1916. The building was converted to a movie theater in the 1920s until it was shut down in 1984. The Palace Theatre underwent a $15 million renovation, and re-opened in 2017, featuring contemporary music and events. The Palace Theatre is owned by the City of Saint Paul, and is co-managed and co-operated by First Avenue and JAM Productions.
