Lee Lue the Musical is a work of historical fiction, inspired by the Secret War in Laos, and by one of the first pilots from Laos’ Hmong community drawn into it - a little known chapter of the Vietnam era in which the United States partnered with Hmong forces in Laos, recruiting an ethnic minority into conflict that was never truly theirs.
