The Science Museum of Minnesota invites dino-lovers to Dino Fest, a hands-on event celebrating dinosaurs old and new. Visitors can meet museum paleontologists and outside experts, catch live talks on cutting-edge dinosaur research, and take part in a real fossil fi eld jacket opening.

Featured activities and appearances will include:
• A special How to Train Your Dragon-themed "Dino Check Up" with Dr. Alex Hastings
• A live fi eld jacket opening with Science Museum paleontologists
• Two live eagle demonstrations from the National Eagle Center
• An appearance from Rory the Aurorasaurus from the Minnesota Aurora (12:30-1:30 p.m.)
• Expert talks including "The Dinosaur Coast: A Fossil Trackway and Its Cultural Signifi cance," "CSI: Jurassic" and "Count Scrapula: The Latest on the SMM Dino Dig Site"

Event partners include the University of Minnesota's Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Macalester College, and the Museum’s Paleontology department.
