Experience summer evenings filled with live music, dancing, and community at Dancing in the Park, a free outdoor series returning to Harriet Island Regional Park in Saint Paul. Presented by Tapestry Folkdance Center and Saint Paul Parks & Recreation, this unique cultural event invites participants to discover eight different social dance traditions—from lively Cumbia and energetic Contra dancing to elegant English Country Dance, Nordic dance, Polka, and more. Each Tuesday evening features a beginner-friendly lesson followed by social dancing to live music from some of the Twin Cities’ most beloved cultural music groups. Set against the backdrop of the Saint Paul skyline, Dancing in the Park offers a fun and welcoming way to experience the region’s rich cultural traditions through music, movement, and connection. No partner or prior experience is required. Free and open to all ages. Come to dance, sit and listen to the music, or both! Bring a water bottle and a chair or picnic blanket. Tuesdays, 6–8 PM, June 9–30 and August 18–September 8 at the Harriet Island Wigington Pavilion Patio. Learn more at www.tapestryfolkdance.org/dancing-in-the-park.
